5 Tips to avoid becoming a victim of fraud when applying for a loan

When you acquire a credit or financing with any company, it is usually a magnet to attract third parties who want to take advantage and deceive people. Even more so when it is your first financing and you don't know if you are doing it right or who can contact you to get information about you.

So that this doesn't happen to you, here are 5 tips that can help you identify or avoid falling for one of these scammers.

1. Make sure it is the official app: Always make sure it is the official app by downloading it from an official site of the place where you are asking for the loan.
2. If you find another app that in addition to the original name has in its name a word like "money" or other, stay away, it may be fraud!
3. Beware of advances: If you are asked for advances or money to fix your credit history, increase the amount of your loan or approve your application, stay away, it could be fraud!
4. Beware of phantom advisors: If you are contacted by an "advisor" via WhatsApp or any unofficial network of the company with whom you want or acquired the loan and offers to process a larger loan, it could be fraud. It doesn't matter if they send you an image with your photo and employee number, NO ONE can approve a loan by that means if it is not on the official website, only you can fill out your application.
5. Phantom deposits: If you are asked to deposit your payment to an account that is not the one that appears on your app, it could be fraud. Most of your payment references are found in the company's app and never change, because they are assigned to your profile.
6. Threats: If they threaten you saying that they are going to send your data and photos to your contacts, it is also a form of fraud.
